Heavy Duty Hitch Receiver Towbar

The Class 4 Heavy Duty Hitch Receiver (R) Towbar is generally used for medium to heavy towing applications.

Capable of towing trailer weights from 1200kg all the way up to 4500kg (for some vehicles), they are often used to tow larger caravans, boats, car trailers and horse floats.

Class 4 Towbars have a ‘Slide In’ Trailer Ball Mount (TBM) that fits into a 50mm by 50mm square opening.

The TBM is held into the Towbar by a high tensile pin and retaining clip, therefore making it easily removed when not in use (without the need for tools).

They are also very handy for people with limited garage space, or those that don’t want a towbar TBM permanently protruding from the rear of their vehicle.

These towbars are available to suit most medium to large passenger cars, SUVs and practically all 4WD and commercial vehicles.

Because of their high towing capacities, Heavy Duty Hitch Receiver Towbars are ideal to be used in conjunction with Weight Distribution Hitches (See FAQ #8).

In addition, the ‘Slide In’ feature of these towbars make them ideal to accept the many Bike Racks and other accessories with the ‘Slide In’ attachment.
